Sarah Houseknecht currently serves as the Director of Global Brand Communications at Wilson Sporting Goods Co., overseeing public relations, social media and influencer marketing. She joined the company in 2021.
Prior to joining Wilson, Houseknecht spent more than 6 years at Foot Locker, Inc., as the Sr. Director of Public Relations & Influencer Marketing. She led marketing communications across the global retailer's North America family of brands -- Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Champs Sports, Footaction and Eastbay.
Houseknecht also spent several years at Brener Zwikel & Associates, a boutique sports PR agency, in which she led publicity efforts for some of the most notable sports organizations, including the NFL (Super Bowls XLVII & XLVIII), USTA (US Open tennis), Showtime Sports (Mayweather boxing), OMEGA (Ryder Cup, America's Cup and PGA Championship) and ESPN Events (college basketball). She started her career in sports PR at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Houseknecht holds a B.S. in Journalism from Southern Connecticut State University, and an M.S. in Public Relations from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In her personal time, Houseknecht enjoys playing basketball, hiking and cooking.
